Aims
- To recognise and raise the profile of the increasing number of therapists working at a specialist level
- To be a proactive voice for UK therapists to influence the development of services for people affected by MS.
- To increase awareness of the therapist's role in MS amongst other health/social care professionals and stakeholders.
Contents
The publication highlights the unique and crucial role played by therapists in the effective, holistic management of MS. Produced partly in response to the National Service Framework for Long-term Conditions it contains recommendations for MS Therapy Services for each quality requirement of the NSF.
It is available free from the MS Trust and should be used to raise the profile of therapist interventions in MS amongst political stakeholders, NHS managers, and other health and social care professionals.
