MS Therapists Education Fund

THERAPISTS EDUCATION FUND AVAILABLE

The MS Therapists Education Fund was set up in 2007 by a partnership between pharmaceutical companies involved in the Risk-Sharing Scheme, BiogenIdec, Bayer Schering, Merck Serono and Teva Aventis, the MS Society and the MS Trust to create a fund of money to enable therapists to best meet the needs of people with MS by expanding their MS knowledge and skills.

The fund is aimed primarily at physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and psychologists, although applications from other therapists will be considered. Specifically, the fund will enable those who are working in a clinical role with people with MS to attend courses, conferences, study days or masterclasses to develop their clinical expertise and expand their skills base.

The fund will make grants at the end of February, April, and September so applications need to be timed carefully. For a full timetable or if you wish to make an application to the MS Therapists Education Fund, please visit the MS Trust website or phone the MS Trust on 01462 476700 to get an application form.

The MS Trust annual conference is always popular. Dedicated Therapists in MS Study Days and Masterclasses are organised at regular intervals. Look out for these and other courses and apply early to be considered for funding!
